All students who are going to Baton Rouge for Literary Rally this weekend need to meet in Mrs. Lipsey's room this Friday at 11:15.  Please eat on the first lunch shift so that we can be on time loading the bus.

The Lady Vikings defeated Hammond 4-1 last night in an exciting playoff game! Makenzie Chaffin and Jessica Baffuto worked to score in the first and then Molly Dickens started things off by getting a hit in the bottom of 6th, Lexi gray moved her over with a sacrifice bunt, and Makenzie Chaffin got the go ahead run with an RBI! Brooklyn Brandon, Maddie Ennis, and Caroline Easom kept things going to get ahead 4-1. Raelin Chaffin had 16 strikeouts to help the team to Victory. 


They will take on the Acadiana Lady Rams Friday at 5pm at Airline High! Come watch another great game and cheer us on  !

The Viking tennis team played their best matches of the season yesterday at the regional tournament in Sulphur. 

Senior Braden Thibodeaux made it to the quarterfinals and qualified for the state tournament next week at ULM. 

Seniors Ryder Meadows and Jacob Turbeville had the most exciting match of the tournament, advancing to the second round of play in with a big win in a 3rd set tiebreaker! They lost their second round match in two sets. 

Senior Brian Engelke has his best match of the season against a top seeded player, but lost in two sets

Doubles team Nathan Grove and Tyler Quanrud played tough but lost in their first round match. 

The girls tennis team also played well.
Senior Allie Anderson advanced to the second round but faced the tough number one seed. 

Doubles team Isa Pelletier and Gabriela Patronis won two matches with strong play and just missed qualifying for state. 

Jessica Lehr and Vaidehi Shah played a tough 3 set match, but just missed advancing to the next round.


Airline Girls' Soccer is hosting a girls' flag football tournament on Friday April 27th at 4:00 at Airline Stadium. Teams will be made up of 6-8 girls and the cost is $15 per player. Admission is free and food trucks will be on site. See a girls' soccer player or Coach Meeks for more information. Get a team together and we will see you there!



The Airline Viking Golf team traveled to Monroe to play against District Champs West Monroe and local rival, Byrd High School.  The Vikings played a very tough course and, despite some early setbacks, earned 4th place and the qualification to advance to the Regional Tournament.  Senior Daniel Dial and Senior Sam Lolley placed in the Top 15 individual scores for the tournament.  We are proud to see this team represent Airline High School across the state.  


Last weekend the Lacrosse Team defeated Caddo Magnet 15-4 in the first round playoffs.   


Second round playoff game will be on Saturday at Loyola’s Messmer Stadium at 7:00.
