This year, Boy Scout Troop 113 of Bossier City achieved several milestones. The troop celebrated it's 50th year as a chartered organization of The Knights of Columbus Council 4873 and added its 72nd Eagle Scout to the Eagle Scout Plaque dedicated last year on the Boy Scouts 100th anniversary celebration. On Monday night, December 19, 2011, Airline High School Junior Chris Galvin, son of Larry and Laura Galvin, was the next Eagle Scout to have his name etched on the plaque. Chris was presented with his Eagle neckerchief by his mother, Laura Galvin and the Eagle Scout medal was presented by his brother, Tim Galvin, an Eagle Scout himself.
Remember to save and collect “Pull Tabs” from your cans! Put them in a Zip Lock bag and turn it in to your homeroom teacher. Make sure you put your homeroom teacher’s name on the bag so that your class receives the appropriate credit. This project is very important because it allows AHS to support and make a charitable donation to a student from our local area. This is a school-wide service project that will run until March 23rd. Please see your homeroom teacher and the link below for additional information.
