Genius Hour project
As part of the Genius Hour project started in her Airline High School AIM class last year, Caitlin Simcox painted pictures of animals and used copies as note cards, which she sold at various locations.
She recently delivered a $100 check, which represents the proceeds of her sales, to the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana. Caitlin was also a semi-finalist in the Ayn Rand Anthem essay contest in her freshman year.
This is a worldwide competition, and the semi-finalist position places her in the top 10% of the students who entered the competition.
