Trivia Night

Which NFL franchise has won the most Super Bowls?

Which movie won the Oscar for Best Picture in 2014?

What Country Music power couple has won Male and Female Vocalist of the Year for the past four years?

Who is the only US president never to have been elected to either the presidency or the vice-presidency?

If you can answer some of these trivia questions, then you are ready for Airline High School's second semi-annual Trivia Night.  Airline High School’s History Bowl team is inviting everyone out to join us here in the library at 6:00pm on Thursday, March 26.  Food will be served at 6:00pm and the first round will begin at 6:30pm.  The contest will consist of eight-person teams working together to answer six rounds of ten questions each.  Categories will include American History, Sports, Pop Culture, Stage & Screen, Random Facts, and “Lists.”  The team that answers the most questions correctly will walk away with a Champions purse of $200Entry fees will be $80.00 per eight-person team and will include food and beverages.  Door prizes will also be awarded between rounds.   Those that came out for the fall Trivia Night had a great time, and we're hoping this event will be even bigger and better!  The more the merrier!

All proceeds will go toward helping Airline High School’s three History Bowl Teams get to Nationals in Washington DC.

The local Optimist Club recently honored some Bossier Parish students as their Rising Stars.  Rising Stars are those students who have had difficulties starting the year off on a positive note and they have turned this situation into positive attitudes, strong work ethics and they are making solid contributions while at school.  From Airline High School, Lazavier Franklin and La’Star Broadway were honored as Rising Stars.  These students and family members were honored with a luncheon at Ralph and KaCoo’s by the Optimist Club and they were also given a monetary gift from the Bossier Parish School Board.
