The Airline High School Band's hard work and dedication has paid off in a big way. They received all 1's (band, percussion, drum majors and color guard) at the Four States Marching Competition and also straight 1's, Best In Class Percussion and 3rd Place overall in the Parkway High School Marching Festival. Those long, exhausting practices in the heat of the summer prior to school starting and the after school practices in the grueling temperatures have paid off. Congratulations to the Airline High School Vanguard Marching Band and Director Patrick Neff, Assistant Director Grant Shelton and Color Guard Sponsor, Andi Vrbka for a job well done.

Professional Learning Communities are common groups of teachers that collaboratively meet to analyze data to improve learning for students. Airline High School is currently focusing on differentiation and learning styles. In a recent meeting, one of the the school's PLC teams met at Buffalo Wild Wings to conduct their meeting because this team is WILD about PLC's and this provided a more relaxed location for the teachers to discuss the information on differentiation and learning styles.
