Ariana Dalmau

Four Star Leadership Program

Airline High School student, Ariana Dalmau was selected and recently attended the Four Star Leadership Program with retired General Tommy Franks in Oklahoma City.  She got back thismorning and she enjoyed the entire week-long leadership experience.  This was a once in a lifetime opportunity and privilege for her to meet and work with other top students from around the nation and be exposed to many great speakers and leaders.  The list of speakers and leaders included the Oklahoma Governor, Hon. Mary Fallin, educators, industry professionals, Olympic gold medalist andother mentors. The packed curriculum also included student debates, speech development and competition.  Ariana made it among the top 30% best speeches.

For the 2017 program,  they had 482 applicants, 70 were selected and 69 attended including three international students from South Korea, Germany and Jordan.  As for the state, there were only three students representing Louisiana (Ariana from Bossier, one from Shreveport and one
from Alexandria).
