Congratulations to the 2017 Regional Boys Doubles Tennis Champions Cortland and Braden Thibodeaux! They remain undefeated going into the state tournament and have only lost 7 games in their last 5 matches! Also, congratulations to the boys tennis team who placed 2nd overall out of 16 teams at the tournament!
Reminder: TODAY!! After school: freshman or sophomore who enjoys discussing politics and philosophy should seriously consider joining the debate team. There will be an interest meeting in Ms. Booth's room on at 2:30pm.
Drivers Education registration will be Thursday April 27 at 6:45 in the front of the Boys Gym. Students should come to the main office and pick up a registration form. You cannot register without the form. The Cost is $400 cash or money order to be paid in full at Registration. We will take the first 44 students to sign up. Students must be 15 years of age by June 15th to be eligible for the summer class. Class will begin after school on May 3.
There will be a mandatory meeting for anyone wanting to tryout for Boys soccer this Thursday (4/20/2017) in Coach Wade's room (M-6) right after school. Any boy that is interested in trying out, needs to attend meeting.
All new National Honor Society members, your dues need to be given to Mrs. Dupree by this Friday.
NHS induction ceremony is Monday, April 24. Be in the student center by 5:15
Freshmen girls basketball players go by and see Coach Pharr this week to get information about the basketball banquet set for May 5.
Support Airline’s student Jackson Floyd at the Film Prize Junior Festival April 28-30th. his script "Second Door on the Left", Airline students and faculty come out, support the film, and vote. at Shreveport Convention Center. on Friday, April 28 or Saturday, April 29.. Be our guest! The Speech and Drama Department invites you to attend the spring variety show "We Love Disney" on Thursday, April 20. The program will feature acts and songs from all your Disney favorites and will begin at 7 p.m.. Admission is only $5.00
Students, do you have some Viking Vouchers lying around and don't need them for tardies or ID's because you are taking care of business and doing it the Airline way? You can now put those Viking Vouchers in a drawing for a Spring package. We will draw from the box of submitted vouchers the morning of Friday, April 21. One student will win a Spring package valued up to $50.00 and the teacher of that winning student will also win a wonderful prize. Other students will also win a Spring surprise. The box is located in the library in F2 so go by and put those Viking Vouchers to use.
If you want to be a member of the #1 yearbook staff in the state of Louisiana, come by room C3 and get an application. All applications are due back by 2:30 on April 21st.
If you plan to participate in the Ring Ceremony, you must submit a form and your fee by April 27th
Airline High School Reserved Parking Space Program
It’s time to claim your parking spot. You can reserve, design, and paint your spot for $50 (cash only). Applications are available in the foyer of D-wing or with Mrs. Robertson. See Mrs. Robertson to reserve a spot in F311 before school or during lunch.
The AFJROTC "Red Carpet Hollywood" Military Ball is April 29th.
