Ring Ceremony Information

 

 

DATE:  Friday May 12, 2017

TIME: 6 p.m.

PLACE:  Airline High School Auditorium

DRESS:  Dressy casual/ professional.  No jeans, shorts, or tuxedos, please.  Gentlemen, plan to wear a tie.  Ladies, remember you will be on stage; please be mindful of your skirt/dress length.

COST: $10.00 (Cash or money order only) turn your money and application form to Mrs. Finimore (Room A3).  You will receive a receipt.  Deadline:  Thursday, April 27, 2017.

Airline's prom will be here soon!  "Time of Our Lives" will be Saturday, April 22 at Hilton Garden Inn.  Tickets will be on sale for $30 each April 3-7 and $35 each April 10-13.  Prom tickets can only be purchased by Airline High School seniors and all fines/fees must be paid before purchasing tickets.  Prom contracts must be filled out and approved for any non-Airline students that will be in attendance. Prom contracts can be picked up outside C5, J3, or F308.  The last day for ticket sales will be 3PM on Thursday, April 13--no exceptions!

"Tu Idolo"

March 21 the annual "Tu Idolo" Spanish American Idol event was held at Bossier High School.  Competitors represented Airline High School, Benton High School, Cope Middle School, North DeSoto High School, and Parkway High School.

 

Landry Ray and Brennan Teutsch both sang songs in Spanish for Airline.  Landry Ray took first place in the Spanish song category, singing "Antologia."

 

Airline's dance team also received first place in the dancing category, performing two traditional Mexican dances choreographed by Spanish teacher Mrs. Naxhiely Ruiz.  The dance team consisted of Emily Garcia, Jasmine Roberson, Fabiola Saldana, Ta'Kenya Thomas, Kendariuas Carper, Jaden Duchsherer, Shadrique Johnson, and Spencer Naber.

 

We are so proud of the Vikings for representing our Spanish department well and sweeping in both categories at "Tu Idolo 2017!"

ROWLAND FAMILY EXCELS

 

 

Airline High School has been selected as the Bossier Press Tribune Readers' Choice Favorite High School for the 18th year in a row.  It's principal, Jason Rowland was selected as Readers' Choice Principal of the Year. 

 

Marla Rowland was selected as the Readers" Choice Best Teacher of the Year.  These are two of the most dedicated, hard working and caring people there are and they are most deserving of these awards.  Our children are in great hands!!!

AIRLINE SCIENCE STUDENT WINS BIG

Airline High School student, Bobby Alexander won second place in the Regional Science Fair.  This honor now qualifies him to go on and compete at the state level.  He was also invited to compete in the upcoming SciPort Science Fair.  Congratulations to Bobby for a job well done.
