Great News
The Faculty and Staff of Airline High are very proud of the recently released School Performance Score for 2008-09. Our school increased its score from 105.1 to 107.4, a full 2.3 points. We met our target goal of 2.2 points.
This is a clear indication that our faculty is doing a superb job in preparing their lessons and implementing them. It also reflects that our student population is responding positively to those teachers by putting a priority on being successful. We do believe that our efforts to make the freshmen year a success in our 9th grade initiative program as well as the student/teacher mentor program for freshmen has played a vital part in student achievement. At the same time we have seen our graduation index rise with more students following and completing their tract for the normal 4 years and graduating.
We are tremendously proud of our both our students and teachers for a job well done.
Now, flu vaccinations---As you are aware, Airline will be participating in a national program which will immunize students for the seasonal flu. Our scheduled time will be Friday, Nov. 13th beginning at 8:00 AM. We have sent out additional information on Nov. 5th indicating that the vaccine that we be used will be the oral variety. No vaccine by injection will be available. If your student is in need of vaccine through injection, you will have to see your personal health provider to receive it.
SchoolLoop continues to increase in popularity. More and more parents are signing up. It is a great tool that we hope you will continue to use.
We would like to again thank our parents for supporting our school. We are Airline.
