Krewe of Centaur Prince

​Drill Teams ​ competed​ ​in a Drill Competition at Louisiana​ Tech University​, on Saturday, January 27, 2018,  They competed in 12 events and brought home 8 trophies in the following categories:

Armed ​Exhibition​ : 2d Place​, Commanded by Cadet/Colonel Nathan Norwood​

Armed Regulation: 1st Place​, Commanded by Cadet/1st Lieutenant Jacob Brown​

​Armed​ Tandem: 1st Place

Un​a​rmed ​Exhibition​: 1st Place​, Commanded by Cadet/Colonel Ariana Dalmau ​

Un​armed Regulation​: 1st​ Place, Commanded by Cadet/Major Kamryn Moses​

Master Color ​G​uard: 1st Place​, Commanded by Cadet/Lieutenant Colonel JirNeicia Ward​

Knock​-o​ut​ Drill​: 1st Place​, Cadet/Colonel Ariana​ Dalm​​au

​​The drill team also took home the coveted Overall Best Drill​​ Team Trophy​.  Congratulations Viking Blue Thunder. Their​ next drill competition is on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Leesville High School in Alexandria, Louisiana. Good luck Viking Blue Thunder!  

AFJROTC​​ ​Drill Teams

Rocketry Club



Student of the Airline High School Rocketry Club, under the guidance of the leaders from the Starbase 2.0 program and mentors from Barksdale AFB, are have been conducting test flights since last semester to be eligible for the Team American Rocketry Challenge (TARC) that takes place in Washington D.C. this year. All teams have to meet certain qualifications for height, time, payload, etc. in order to be able to enter in to the race.



Airline High School's cross country team recently participated in the   LSU Last Chance Indoor Qualifier track meet. Picture without caption is Will Dart. He placed 2nd in the 3200m.   Taejon, Will, and other AHS boys qualified for the Indoor State Championship Meet, to be held at LSU on February 17th,




Airline High School Wrestling Sweethearts recently work the Regional Tournament at Parkway.

VFW Voice of Democracy Essay Contest

Airline High School students, Bobby Alexander and Caroline Clayton are both winners in the local VFW Voice of Democracy Essay contest.  They were both presented their awards at the local VFW banquet.
