ChemCom

ChemCom

ChemCom is a chemistry curriculum written for secondary school students by the American Chemical Society (ACS).  It attempts to enhance science literacy by emphasizing chemistry's impact on society.  It is aimed at the student who will become a citizen, but not necessarily a scientist in a technological society.  The course strives to build a basic knowledge of the structure of chemistry, analyze scientific concepts, support critical thinking, review the importance and relevance of chemistry in our everyday lives and it utilizes the methods of science as a logical means of problem solving.
