College Survey Biotech - Dual Credit - 1 credit (4 hours college credit)

Students will be introduced to a host of biological and molecular methods of biotechnology that are used to produce recombinant plants, animals, and medicines. Basic biological processes are developed and explored through didactic and laboratory activities. Career pathways and biotechnology products are highlighted through the course. Quality systems and documentation will be introduced. This course is taught fall term only. (Prerequisite: Biology with a C or better; Co-requisite: Chemistry or ChemCom)
